Intact fundal contour of the uterus. The fundal myometrial depth measures 1.2 cm, more than that of the arcuate uterus and less than that of the septate uterus. The angel between the two uterine horns is a little less than 90° suggestive of partial septate / subseptate uterus.

Partial septate / subseptate uterus ( MRI vs 3D US).

Case Discussion

Ultrasound and MRI features are consistent with a partial septate / subseptate uterus and incidental subserosal fibroid. A partial septate uterus involves the endometrial canal but not the cervix, with the angel between the endometrial horns less than 90° and the fundal myometrial depth >1 cm and <1.5 cm. Differential diagnosis is arcuate uterus and bicornuate uterus.
