Nasal pyogenic granuloma (lobular capillary hemangioma)

Presentation

Left nasal obstruction and epistaxis

Patient Data

Age: 15 years old
Gender: Male

A small well circumscribed sot tissue lesion is seen at the anterior part of the left nasal cavity based on the nasal septum with no underlying cartilage invasion or destruction. It showed avid homogenous enhancement after contrast administration. 

 

Case Discussion

This is a case of pathologically proven nasal pyogenic granuloma (lobular capillary hemangioma) with characteristic CT appearance and location ( being homogenously enhancing and based on the anterior nasal septum).
